Mary writes sweet, heartfelt children’s tales. They are lyrical stories that encourage young readers to explore the beauty of friendship, belonging to a community, and the connections between grandparents and grandchildren.

Mary grew up in Metro Detroit as the middle girl in a lively family of six—three girls, three boys, and endless opportunities to negotiate bathroom time. She became a mother young, welcoming her daughter at 20 and her son at 25, and later reinvented her life at 43 when she divorced and began writing her next chapter.

For 25 years, Mary worked in sales and marketing in the dental trade industry, proving she could sell anything—even root canals. At 40, she bought a chestnut quarter horse named Jack, because every woman deserves a handsome redhead in her life.

At 44, she met a man from the dental industry, fell in love and moved to Metro NY. She helped raise his ten‑year‑old boy/girl twins—earning unofficial degrees in patience, diplomacy, and the art of locating missing soccer cleats.

Never one to follow a traditional timeline, Mary then went to college at 48, earned her bachelor’s in English, and completed her MFA in writing at 53. She discovered a love for writing. She then spent five years as an Adjunct English Professor, teaching students that commas matter and clichés don’t.

Today, she calls both New Jersey and Colorado home and proudly claims Colorado residency. She rides horses whenever possible and her favorite pleasure is spending time with family and friends.

Mary’s greatest creative inspiration comes from her grandchildren, who supply endless joy, curiosity, and story ideas. Mary is a lifelong adventurer. She spends time globe‑trotting and chasing nature with her husband Paul. She’s fiercely independent, yet loves connecting with people, and believes laughter is essential.

And now at 67, she has become a published author of children’s books, proving the cliche: it’s never too late to learn.
