Mary writes sweet, heartfelt children’s tales. They are lyrical stories that encourage young readers to explore the beauty of friendship, belonging to a community, and the connections between grandparents and grandchildren.

Mary discovered a love of creative writing in college and went on to get her MFA in writing at Sarah Lawrence. 

She also enjoys composing personal essays about her own life experiences and travel adventures.

Mary rides horses whenever possible and enjoys listening to music, gardening, reading, being outdoors, and with family and friends whenever possible. Plus, she loves traveling with her husband Paul. They split their time between New Jersey, Colorado, and Michigan.  She has four children, three stepchildren, nine grandchildren and counting. She also has two grand dogs.

Grandchildren 2014-2018

I was gifted with six grandchildren in four years.
One family is in Metro Denver and one is in Metro Detroit.
